The paisley tie comes in a range of colours so you’ll be able to match it to your wedding colour theme quite easily. A 3 piece suit would look complete with a paisley tie in any of the colours available for a wedding, a prom or any special event that requires wearing a tie.

Paisley ties are a classic textile look and design that can blend easily into many formal outfits. The unusual droplet shaped design, which has Persian and indian origins gained its popularity back in the 1960’s when different fabrics, colours and textures were introduced into the fashion scene. Paisley was particularly popular during the the sixties Summer Of Love the pattern was heavily identified with psychedelic style and the interest in Indian spirituality and culture brought about by the pilgrimage of The Beatles to India in 1968.

The paisley pattern is a great way to add a vintage look to any normal suit or shirt. The paisley tie is a subtly stylish option for any formal event, it could even be worn to a 60’s party.

Happy Birthday Harry Styles

The One Direction star turned 21 this weekend, we feel as though he has been around for a lifetime but alas this young star is still very much a youngster who is finally legal to drink alcohol and gamble in the United States.

The star rose to fame after the 2010 X Factor show after being put together with fellow contestants to form the worlds biggest boyband One Direction!

Born in Cheshire on 1st February 1994 he lived with his mother and older sister Gemma. Harry worked part time in a bakery in his home town of Holmes Chapel whilst attending secondary school where he also was a singer in a band. He always enjoyed singing from a young age and was a huge fan of Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley and The Beatles.

Harry celebrated his birthday in style in Los Angeles on Saturday night with a whole load of A list celebrities for his 21st including the likes of Alexa Chung, Kelly Osbourne, David Beckham, Cara Delevingne, Cindy Crawford, Adele, Chris Martin and Rita Ora all attended the star-studded bash!

It was a night like the Oscars and all for Harry Styles 21st birthday.

The stylish star wore a black shirt and black blazer with gold edging to mark his 21st year.
Harry can really pull off any look he wishes and here at Fab Ties we adore his dapper qualities, he has been seen on many occasions sporting a bow tie and matching pocket square.

We adore this cute blue eyed boy in this pic wearing a 2 tone polka dot with check centre bow tie with a white polka dot pocket square combination!

A vast difference from when he and fellow X Factor contestants first appeared on the scene 4 years ago! When all he seemed to wear was a basic polo shirt and trainers, (Oh what a bit of money and a stylist can do!) We think Harry has definitely grown into a stylish ikon. Cheers Harry!

Burns Night Attire

Burns night is celebrated on the 25th January, it’s a celebration of the life and poetry of the poet Robert Burns, the author of many Scottish poems. There has been a surge in Burns Night celebrations in the whole of the UK in recent years from people hosting parties and the surge in buying related goods.

People in Scotland tend to gather together to have a huge feast and eat haggis, a popular delicacy of the highlands. Many will wear traditional tartan attire in all their colours and glory from kilts, socks, jackets, Tartan Ties, bow ties, cummerbunds, scarves and pocket squares. There are so many versions of tartan available, most are assigned to an ancient name being handed down the generations.

Black Watch and Royal Stewart are the most popular tartan designs of today. Tartan is a pattern consisting of criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours, tartan originated in woven wool but they are now made in many other materials making them more widely available.
